Photograph of riot police blocking a demonstration organized by ministers of the Presbyterian Church in Chunju, South Korea. The protestors were marching as dissent against regime of authoritarian dictator Chun Doo-Hwan. About 500 Korean Christian people marched from the church after Sunday service in this small Korean city. The police refrained from using tear gas against the protestors who chanted anti-government slogans. The police wear protective masks, helmets, and shields decorated with happy faces.
