Photograph of a Korean man being arrested by riot police during suppression of anti-government demonstration in center of Seoul, South Korea. This man and other demonstrators were protesting the authoritarian dictatorship of Chun Doo-Hwan. Riot police violently arrested many protestors and tear gassed and injured many people, filling downtown Seoul with fumes of CS tear gas. . Thuggish policemen attacked and hurt this protestor during his arrest as onlookers witness the brutality. Photograph by Nathan Benn taken May 23, 1987.
